Louhos Soikoon! Experience Concerts
The Louhos Soikoon! experience concerts, recognized as a cultural achievement event in South Karelia, are held at the world's largest spectrolite quarry.
As dusk falls, audiences can admire the dramatic quarry scenery illuminated by countless candles, outdoor fire baskets, and torches while live music fills the impressive surroundings. On clear evenings, the moon and stars become part of the concert experience. This year's performances will also feature professional fire artists, adding their own distinctive touch to the atmosphere.
The concerts will be opened on Thursday, September 3 by the Mayor of Lappeenranta, Tuomo Sallinen.
The concert program has been carefully curated to honor the powerful and evocative setting of the venue, with all elements woven together through dramaturgy into a rich sensory experience. The theme of the 2026 concerts is Choice. The theme explores fundamental questions of humanity.
